Phase 1:

  • Administration and responsibilities
  • Aircraft Daily Inspection
  • Checklists:
    Initial Radio Communications
  • Long briefings for all sequences required for first solo.

Phase 2:

  • GFPT General Flight Progress Test
  • Briefings, flying sequences and basic aeronautical knowledge
  • To cover GFPT day syllabus
  1. Radio Communications
  2. Aerodynamics 1
  3. Aeroplane General Knowledge 1
  4. Aeroplane Operation, Performance and Planning 1
  5. Meteorology 1
  6. Navigation 1
  7. Air law 1

Flight Time 35 hours (Including 2 hours Instrument Flying)

 


Phase 3: (x country) Navigation and training (PPL)

  • Briefings, aeronautical; knowledge and flying navigation sequences
    To cover the PPL VFR day syllabus
  • Theory subjects to cover the phase 3 syllabus are:
  1. Aeroplane Operation, Performance and Planning 2
  2. Meteorology 2
  3. Navigation 2
  4. Aeroplane General Knowledge 2
  5. Air Law 2
  6. Human Performance and Limitations I

Flight time 23 hours (Including 3 hours Instrument Flying)


Phase 4: Commercial Training (CPL)

  • Briefings, aeronautical knowledge and flying training syllabus to cover the CPL VFR day syllabus
  • Theory subjects to cover the phase 4 syllabus are:
  1. Aerodynamics 2
  2. Aeroplane Operation, Performance and Planning
  3. Meteorology 3
  4. Aeroplane General Knowledge 3
  5. Navigation 3
  6. Air Law 3
  7. Human Performance and Limitations 2

Flight Time : 10 hours General Flying
10 hours Instrument Flying
10 hours Night Flying
20 Hours navigation (X County) Flying


Multi-Engine Ratings:

Briefings and theory training to cover the following syllabus.

  1. Aeroplane Systems
  2. Mutli-engine Aeroplane Performance
  3. Aerodynamics to cover
    (a) Normal OPS
    (b) Asymmetric OPS

Flight Time 7 hours


Instrument Ratings:

Instrument rating requirements are set out in CAO 40.2.1 appendix III.

Briefings and theory training will cover the following syllabus

  1. Radio navigation AIPS
  2. Requirements for IFR flight
  3. Planning for IFR
  4. Departures
  5. Instrument Approaches

Flight Time 20 Hours

 

Note 1 :Total course flight time is 200 hours and after passing the Australian Requirements including issuing the Australian CPL/IR with multi-engine endorsement.

Note 2: Training is in accordance with the Indian DGCA requirements
